Ed Williams Roof Consultants was hired by New York's Argent Venture to oversee roofing and waterproofing of the Omni Center's two main projects. The former downtown Miami Mall underwent a major transformation into retail and class A office space and, after a $22 million renovation, the adjacent hotel was re-branded as a Hilton property.
This is just one of 65 Bell South facilities that required re-roofing, all within a two-year time period. Downtime due to construction was not an option. Ed Williams conducted surveys and made recommendations according to each roof's condition. Working to our specifications, the contractors completed the renovations on all 65 facilities, on time and on budget.
The roof of this 120,000 square foot, 20-year-old plaza had undergone many unauthorized tenant upgrades, compromising the integrity of the roof. Ed Williams examined the damage and provided recommendations and budgets for several different life-cycle scenarios.
Free-standing pharmacy/convenience stores are a rapidly growing segment of the retail industry. Many investors have foreseen this opportunity, purchasing real estate leased by these operations. To protect this investment, Ed Williams Roof Consultants is hired to perform building inspections, focusing on any part of the structure that could be affected by the roof. This includes ceiling tiles, lighting fixtures, electrical panels, and interior and exterior walls.
